The 2023 Mid-Atlantic Tournament of Champions (MATOC) is scheduled to be held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on September 8-10, 2023.  In past years, Virginia DeMolay was well represented at this event, and we hope to see the same this year.

Virginia DeMolay will cover the cost of lodging and tournament registration for all 2023 State Champions and accompanying advisors who are competing in their winning event at the 2023 Tournament (for teams, required parts only).  This includes the following chapters and individuals:

• DeMolay Degree - Kempsville

• Flower Talk – Jared Jackson (Kempsville)

• Nine O'Clock Interpolation – Ashburn (Nick Stecker, Jaydon Stecker, and Patrick Hargrave)

Virginia DeMolay will also cover the cost of lodging and registration for all certified judges who sit on judging panels at the tournament. Lodging arrangements will be 2 per room for Advisors, and 3 per room for DeMolays. The state association will cover the cost of 1 advisor per five DeMolays. All attendees will need to provide their own transportation to and from the event.

All Virginia DeMolays who plan to attend this event, regardless of whether or not VA DeMolay is paying, should register through me.  The hotel and tournament registration forms are located at: http://www.demolay-matoc.org.

Download all applicable forms (which are also attached), fill them out and email them to me at thomas.sellers@gmail.com.  All forms must be in my possession by August 8, 2023.  Once I receive your registration information, I will contact you and tell you how much you owe and where to send the money. If you qualify to have your registration and lodging paid by VA DeMolay, the offer expires on August 8, 2023. If you do not register by that date, VA DeMolay will not pay your registration and lodging fees.
