2008 Rookie and Advisor of the Year Award Nominations

June 23, 2008

Brothers,

Two of the many awards that Virginia DeMolay will present at Conclave this year are the Rookie of the Year and the Advisor of the Year awards.

The purpose of the Rookie of the Year award is to select the outstanding new DeMolay in Virginia who best typifies and exemplifies good character and conduct, and who enthusiastically supports DeMolay.

Chapters may nominate a member for the 2008 Rookie of the Year award if the member was initiated on or after July 27, 2006 and if the member was not nominated for this award at last year's conclave.
Please remember when writing this nomination that all items for consideration must have occurred during the nominee's first year of membership in DeMolay. Chapters may nominate a DeMolay for this award by downloading and filling out the nomination form located at:

http://jack33.net/vademolay/compbook/compbook/406.htm

The purpose of the Advisor of the Year award is to select the outstanding advisor in the state who best typifies and exemplifies the character, conduct, and enthusiastic support of DeMolay expected of all advisors. All advisors are eligible to be nominated. Chapters may nominate an Advisor for this award by downloading and filling out the nomination form at:

http://jack33.net/vademolay/compbook/compbook/401.htm

Only one DeMolay and one Advisor per chapter may be nominated for these awards. Nominees for this award MUST NOT know of their nomination. These forms can be filled out, printed and submitted at Conclave. Alternatively, the forms can be submitted by e-mail to Dad Tom Sellers (thomas.sellers@gmail.com). Forms submitted by e-mail need to be sent by the end of the day on July 16, 2008. All nominations must be submitted using these forms. Handwritten nominations will not be accepted. We hope to see nominations from every chapter.

Conclave will be at Radford University over the weekend of July 17-20, 2008.

Fraternally,
Dad Tom Sellers
Va. DeMolay Competitions Advisor
