2002 VA DeMolay Spring Meeting

Where: Luray Caverns in Luray, Virginia

When: June 1^st and 2^nd 

So ah what do we do: Well…On Saturday we will be having competitions for the Majority Service, RD ceremony, Shield Talk, Ceremony of Light and Flower Talk.  Those will take place in the morning and will begin at 10:00 at the Firehouse.  The State meeting will begin at 2:00 at the Firehouse followed by the Initiatory Degree.  We will then break so that everyone can go to the campsite/hotel and get dinner on their own.  This is a change and is in response to problems in the past.  We will meet again at Luray Caverns at 6:45 and will go into the caverns at 7:00.  We will then have the DeMolay Degree and afterwards everyone is invited to come back to the campsite for a bonfire.

That brings me to my next point!  Camp out with the State Officers this time!!  I would really like to have as many people as possible stay at the Campsite as a group.  There are cabins available at the site for about the price of a hotel room and can sleep up to six people as well as the traditional campsites.  We will be having a bonfire as I previously mentioned and will have smores and hotdogs for your eating delight.  I will also attempt a good ghost story, so come and see me tell a really corny one.
