An Invitation for Virginia DeMolay Chapter Councilors

All Virginia DeMolay Chapter Master Councilors, Senior Councilors, and Junior Councilors are invited to The Forge, a weekend of workshops, seminars, and hands-on activities to develop leadership and organizational skills.

Cost Coverage

Virginia DeMolay will cover the cost of meals, lodging, activities, and an event T-Shirt for the three current councilor officers and one advisor from each chapter.

Registration

All attendees must be registered to attend, by their Chapter Advisor or Advisory Council Chairman, through this website by February 1, 2026.

Please note the following registration policies:

  1. Reservations cannot be cancelled after 2/1/2026. If for some reason, someone that is registered cannot attend, they may not substitute someone else without prior written approval from the Executive Officer. Any monies that need to be exchanged will be the responsibility of the chapter.

  2. As with all of our events, all members will need parental permission & medical forms, and clear written parental permission concerning transportation to and from the event.

  3. For all Virginia DeMolay events, registration must be done by the Chairman of the Advisory Council, Chapter Dad, or other approved advisor. Individuals cannot register themselves for our events.  This ensures that chapters know who will be attending and who will be advisors for those members that are attending.   If, for some reason, there are only one or two chapter members that want to attend and no chapter advisors are willing or able to attend, the Chairman or Chapter Advisor must find another registered advisor willing to be responsible for the members and both the Chairman/Chapter Advisor and the  advisor who is obligating themselves to be responsible, must inform the EO, AEO, and event director prior to registration deadline.

  4. Generally speaking, we want all of our members to be transported to or from DeMolay events by their parents or by registered advisors (it is an insurance thing). Sometimes, that may not be possible.  Regardless of a member's age (it is an insurance thing), if the member is riding to a state event with someone other than their parent or an advisor from their chapter, they must have a letter from their parents granting them permission. Similarly, if the member drives themself, they need a letter from their parents authorizing them to do so. This can be a letter written once a year allowing the member to drive himself to all local, regional and state events during that calendar year.

  5. If a member is going to be coming to an event with someone and intends to go home with someone else (for example dropped off by their parent and intends to ride home with another member and their family), both parties that are providing transportation must inform the EO, the AEO, and the event director, in writing, prior the registration deadline.
